BRIEFING re HS2

Whilst most of the town and parish councils in the Solihull area have not as yet reached a formal stance on their position with regard to HS2 a few individuals are attempting to raise public awareness of the issues involved.
A public information meeting is to be held at:
Fentham Hall, Hampton in Arden
June 1st 2010
7.30pm
Publicity for this meeting will soon be released.
Unfortunately it has not been possible to arrange this meeting prior to the deadline date for public comment on the Exceptional Hardship Scheme which is 20 May 2010.
It is generally felt that this scheme is not fit for purpose and the various HS2 action groups nationally are encouraging as many people as possible to send in their comments to the Government before 20 May 2010.
