Mark is a founder Partner of EDB and has been with the practice for nearly 30 years.
As a solicitor specialising in Family cases, Mark has a wealth of experience and has been a member of the Law Society's Children Panel since it's inception.
Mark has a particular interest in adoption, and as part of that work is the legal advisor for a number of national organisations, including Barnado’s (Midlands region), Coram (formerly the Children’s Society, Midlands), Father Hudson’s and Family Futures (which is a fostering agency).
Mark is frequently appointed by the courts to represent the interests of children, and his work takes him all over the country, and also involves aspects of International family work.

John is one of the founding partners of EDB and has practiced law in Chelmsley Wood for the firm and it's predecessor since 1983.
Having qualified as a Solicitor John has extensive experience in criminal defence work. As well as a highly regarded court advocate, John has been a Duty Solicitor since shortly after qualification.
John heads up the EDB criminal defence team which deals with all types of cases from motoring offences to serious violent crime and to include murder cases.John cobines long experience with enthusiasm and high professional standards to provide effective defence for clients in difficult circumstances.
In addition John undertakes Liquor licensing work.

Richard was educated in the local area and joined EDB in 1992. He became a partner in 1997 and specialises in civil litigation. As a Specialist Personal Injury Panel memeber, Richard's experience and expertise in personal injury has been recognised by the Law Society. Richard undertakes a wide range of cases and in particular has specialist interest in high value catastrophic cases involving amputation and brain injury.
Richard also undertakes Commercial and Chancery Litigation including construction disputes and has been involved in a number of notable reported cases. Richard also undertakes Commercial acquisition and disposal work with incidental contractual and land work.

Karen joined EDB as a trainees solicitor in 1997 and became a partner in 2004. She now has over 10 years experience as a solicitor in family law.
As an accredited member of specialist family organisation "Resolution" and panel member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Family Law Panel, Karen deals exclusively with all family matters; both publically funded and private , in particular specialising in the financial aspect of relationship breakdown.
Karen has recently trained as a Collaborative Lawyer to bring a new innovative option to clients to help resolve as amicably as possible the issues arising from relationship breakdown.

Matthew joined Evans Derry Binnion Solicitors during the summer of 1999 and became a partner in the firm in 2004. Matthew is a member of APIL and works in the personal injury department handling claims that range in value from £1000 to £1m.
He also undertakes CICA claims for victims injured as a result of violence, and handles actions against the police for assault, false imprisonment and wrongful arrest.
Matthew deals with employment law matters for both employers and employees including claims for unfair dismissal, as well as advising upon or drafting compromise agreements.
